Such a gorgeous restaurant with real olive trees looks like! I'm not sure how I ever missed this restaurant the numerous times walking past here. The Restaurant Week menu was affordable and the portions were enough for the next day surprisingly. I ordered the pita/hummus appetizer though I only liked two of the flavors okay and the wraps weren't tasty to me. The branzino fish was prepared the best I've had - it's normally too soft but theirs had a flaky feel. The orange cake was good, the lavender ice cream delicious. Servers were wonderful - they didn't over engage when we were deep in convo but always somehow saw us when we needed them and came right over. Overall I wasn't in love with the food so wouldn't necessarily return intentionally, but I'd recommend for people who drink and like pretty bars or who like tangier food. If you want a gorgeous place to eat or drink or show off to a date or visitors to NYC, this is a solid recommendation! Go, enjoy!!
5 star rating all around... the ambiance at this location was modern with a Mediterranean feel, the staff was efficient (at times a bit slow, but still attentive), and the food was delicious. The prices are a bit high, but not outrageous considering the location. I frequent the location in Roslyn and didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend dinner or lunch (or a cocktail).
Came here for a work event and was surprised at how delicious their dishes were! We started off with various appetizers. My favorite was the calamari and the Limani chips. The calamari were chewy and nicely fried in a light and well-seasoned batter. The Limani chips were definitely a fan favorite because we finished it really quickly. These chips were super thinly cut zucchini and eggplant that were lightly fried with a thick tzatziki sauce. While I've had these veggies thinly sliced, I haven't had it fried so appropriately that they were crispy but not burnt. For mains, I got one of the specials which was this fried branzino fish in an olive oil sauce. The boneless fish was tender and again well seasoned! For desserts, I enjoyed the baklava and the portokalopita, which was a vanilla cake with citrus flavors along with a honey ice cream and pistachio bites. The restaurant itself was big with dim lighting and a pool in the middle! There was a side room for bigger parties/private events with a projector. As with all work events, I thought food was going to be good but I didn't expect certain dishes (ie the limani chips) to really make an impression!
The food here was EXQUISITE. We got really lucky and came during Restaurant Week in NYC and were able to get a 3 course meal for pretty inexpensive. Our waiter was very attentive, the fish was outstanding, the sorbet was magnificent, the salad was very fresh... I mean, 0 complaints here. I often like to give places 5 stars because I lean towards being nice, ha, but it's times like this where I think I should have given the other places 4 stars so this 5 star would stand out. But yeah - magnificent place. Super good, high quality, all the things. Would love to come back.
Fantastic! Excellent food, well prepared with all subtleties present -- eat slowly to get the most out of each bite (which you should always do, right?). Beautiful space! Truly beautiful setting, and they do the contemporary sparse "less is more" aesthetic (what my friend refers to as "movie drug lord chic). From the pool in the center to the "sterile" yet inviting bar space, this place gets it. The service was exceptional! I felt like a welcomed guest. Special event or just want a great dining experience with money burning a hole in your pocket? Think Limani.
